The Military Diet

The 3 Day Military Diet is an extreme fad diet that will definitely help you lose weight very quickly. According to the instructions you can lose 10 pounds in a week. The Military Diet is also referred to as
the Cleveland Clinic 3 day diet, the Cardiac diet, the Birmingham Hospital Cardiac Unit diet, and the AHA diet (the American Heart Association does not actually endorse this diet despite the name, nor does the military).

The Military Diet is meant to help people lose weight fast, and if repeated in cycles with low to moderate calorie intake, it can be beneficial. Most people, however, fail miserably while on this diet because it is very mundane and it’s easy to feel hungry often.

What is the military-diet?

The Military Diet requires people to follow a low-calorie diet for 3 days and then return to regular eating for 4 days. Across the first 3 days, the diet restricts daily calorie intake to 1,400, 1,200, and 1,100 calories.

The diet is high in protein and low in fat, carbohydrates and calories. It includes specific food combinations that boost metabolism and burn fat. The specific combinations of the foods along with a decrease in calories will lead to weight loss.

On this diet you can only drink water, or non caffeinated beverages like tea or water. An occasional black coffee with Stevia would be fine though for people who can’t do without. Do not add any cream to your coffee.

Good luck to anyone who tries the Military Diet. It seems like the calories should be much less in total when you look at the small amounts of food you will be consuming.

You will definitely feel your tummy growl on this diet and you will most likelyfeel hungry. This propels some people to feel the burn and continue to diet. For other people, they just aren’t used to their tummy growling at all. The semi nauseating feeling when they are hungry is just too much for them. For that crowd it would be recommended to try the keto diet instead because it is much more filling.
